What stays on your machine

Everything you make. Your settings — including any macro you recorded — your Runs list and any picture you captured for a trigger are stored on this PC in ClickTray's own folder. None of it is uploaded. A setup file you save goes wherever you choose, and nowhere else.

What leaves it, and what cannot

Crash reports and usage analytics are anonymous and opt-out, and both are switched in Settings → Privacy & diagnostics. The section's own description is the guarantee: they never include key names, typed text, window titles, coordinates, or screen captures.

That is a property of the event schema rather than a filter applied afterwards. There is no field anywhere that could carry a macro's contents, a setup or a captured picture.

An install signal is sent on first launch, and again after each update. It carries a random install id, the app version, your time zone, your main screen's size, the Windows device id, and whether the install came from a tracked download link. It never carries files, URLs or anything you typed. It is opt-out too: Reinstall / Uninstall analytics in the same section. The installer and uninstaller also send a signal with the same id when ClickTray is installed or removed; that one is not controlled by the switch.

The bandwidth sharing

Covered in How ClickTray is funded. It relays other parties' traffic; it has no access to your files or your input.
