Troubleshooting

Nothing happens in the game

Three causes, in order of likelihood:

  1. The game is not the window in front. ClickTray drives the real cursor and keyboard, so the target has to have focus. There is no background-window mode in this version.
  2. The game reads scan codes and your other tool sent virtual keys. That is why it worked here and not there — or, occasionally, the reverse.
  3. The title uses an exclusive input path. Some do, and synthetic input never reaches them. Nothing in ClickTray can change that.

The stop shortcut does not work

Another application already owns the key. Settings → Stopping a session → Stop shortcut shows Not working when that has happened; pick a different key. Meanwhile, hold Esc, use the Stop bar, or use the tray icon's Stop session — that one cannot be taken.

The utilities are greyed out

Bandwidth sharing is not live. See How ClickTray is funded.

A trigger misses, or fires in the wrong place

Your resolution or display scaling has changed since the condition was captured. Re-pick the pixel or re-capture the region. If a trigger is chasing something that moves, turn off Curved cursor travel — it makes each click noticeably slower to land.

The click rate is lower than I asked for

The panel says so explicitly when it happens: the target app or Windows is pacing the clicks. Nothing is broken, and raising the requested rate will not raise the delivered one.

A macro replays into the wrong places

Coordinates are absolute, so a different resolution or scaling moves every target. Edit the coordinates in the step list, or re-record.

The Stop bar is hidden behind a full-screen game

A Windows limitation on always-on-top windows, not a setting. Use the shortcut, hold Esc, or alt-tab and use the tray.
