The system tray

ClickTray lives in the tray. Closing the main window hides it there; it keeps running and a session keeps going.

The icon carries a badge while a session is live, so you can tell at a glance whether anything is running.

The menu

• Open ClickTray — brings the window back.
• Stop session — halts what is running, and shows the actions sent and the measured rate while it does. When nothing is running the item reads No session running and is disabled, so its position never moves and muscle memory keeps working.
• Pause session — a checkbox. Pauses without discarding the configuration.
• Share idle bandwidth — a checkbox mirroring the Settings switch. See How ClickTray is funded.
• Settings… — opens the window on the Settings screen.
• Check for updates…
• Quit ClickTray — asks first, then exits properly.

What usually goes wrong

I quit it and it is still running. Closing the window is not quitting. Use Quit ClickTray on the tray menu.

The Massive agent is still there after I quit. It is a separate agent with its own tray icon and it keeps sharing while you are signed in to Windows. Uninstalling ClickTray stops and removes it.
